This site is a resource for all of us. You probably saw me taking pictures and notes, this is the result. I created this blog for two reasons.
Reason #1
First it is designed to help us all remember and maybe even re-live the 2008 CCSAA Convention. I invite you all to comment, discuss and add to this site to make it as good a resource as is possible for all of us who attended and all those who were not fortunate enough to enjoy the event.
Reason #2
I wanted a place to showcase the power that the internet has placed in your hands. The web has “democratized” the media landscape. While it is important to focus efforts on PR and traditional media, the power and passion of your guests and staff are becoming more and more important.
Blogs are a great way to share and interact. They create community and a two way discussion, allowing you to learn from your guests and staff while communicating your challenges, opportunities or feelings to them.
RSS, email newsletters, social networks such as facebook, mySpace, flikr and countless others offer endless opportunities to connect, promote and grow your business. The media landscape is changing, putting more power in the hands of more people. People want to talk about their experiences, they want to connect with others and share thier feelings and thoughts on subjects. The question to ask yourself is, what are you doing to help people talk about you? Are you making it easier or harder for them?
I’m a firm believer that online communications is an essantial part of any business in todays world and I invite you to join in the discussion. Comment, ask questions, email me, the opportunity to grow through open interaction excites me. If I can be of any help in this field, please feel free to contact me.
I write regularly on Social Media Strategies and online marketing so have a read!
